Devin grew up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He was a typical Canadian kid who enjoyed his family time camping and exploring the mountains. Devin grew up playing hockey and was fortunate enough to play at a high level and professionally. When he decided to leave the hockey world he came back to Calgary where he works as a fire fighter and specializes on the aquatic rescue team.
After hockey ended, Devin decided to remain exceptionally active pursuing trail running. With a love for the intensity of the sport he found he could move quickly along traditional hiking trails, adding extra view time at the summit points.
When Devin met Elise (wife) they continued to travel, explore and adventure every second they could get away. Their similarities helped them get to know each other, where their differences helped them fall in love.
A few years after they were married, they were lucky enough to introduce the world to a little boy named Kai.
Devin was told by many that 'life was over! Forget doing what you do with a kid or when you kid is around'.
He made it a point to show those people and truly enjoy the outdoors with his family doing various activities like camping, biking, hiking, ski touring, cross country skiing, running, rock climbing and more. To always be going and finding that next adventure as a family and to always be adapting to the age Kai is and how he can do it but have fun.

I want to be an ambassador to my beautiful country, the parks and places that are so amazing.
